Final Project in the Works
Work in Progress Update
I've decided for my final assignment to do a book based on the colours of landscape of Lethbridge and surrounding area. I intend to do this by referencing photos taken from a plane, about 2000ft above ground and picking out defining colours in the fields below.
I will transfer those pages onto a hand sewn book, and I'm aiming for about ten-15 pages I think of varying landscape interpretations, and am considering utilizing a flora pressed paper as the covers, as well as a different stitch pattern.

With some snooping around, I've found this handy blog to be an excellent resource on unique stitching pattern, featuring many different tutorials.
I'm most interested in the star binding technique for this project, using a yellow thread to compliment the floral exterior, but there is a lot of options for anyone interested :)

This does somewhat rely on weather cooperation for me to achieve, as in terms of flying I've been grounded for the last two weeks waiting for a time I've booked to actually be flyable skies.
If this gets too close to the due date, I may very quickly switch gears.
